Band Hero (a more kid friendly version of Guitar Hero) has previously been announced for the 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 but Activision has just announced they're doing a handheld version as well.
The game will be coming to the Nintendo DS Lite, in the upcoming months. However due to the games peripheral it won't work on the DSi (no doubt due to a lack of GBA slot) or the DS Phat (most likely due to difference in size). The game will use the existing DS guitar peripheral but will also include a new drum addon that fits over the face buttons of the system (as seen in the above image).
The game is set to feature over 30 songs and even include the ability to sing, most likely through the DS's inbuilt mic. How well this will work remains to be seen.
