The Gamescomm convention in Germany is underway, and with it a brings a fair share of gaming news.
Firstly the trailer for LEGO Rock Band was shown. It looks pretty much what you'd expect and the trailer features the challenge level that has already been mentioned, where you have to destroy a building by playing well.
One cool thing is that as you can see in the screenshot above, the notes are made up of Lego bricks.

19 new songs for The Beatles: Rock Band have been revealed. This leaves just one more song of the 45 song track list to be announced before the games September 9th release date.
Here's the newly revealed songs and the venues they'll appear in:

"I'm Looking Through You" / Shea Stadium
"Ticket to Ride" / Shea Stadium
"Drive My Car" / Budokan

The Beatles: Rock Band new songs
As for some cool non music game related news. The rumoured, smaller PS3 was revealed (and will be priced at $499 in Australia) and even cooler was the announcement that in Australia, iView will be coming to the PS3. For those that don't know, iView let's users stream ABC TV content for almost every new show, for up to 2 weeks after the show airs. It'll be nice not having to watch iView on the PC anymore.

And finally there's a new trailer for the new game Heavy Rain. For anyone not familiar, it's an upcoming PS3 game by the makers of Farenheit (also known as Indigo Prophecy) and it looks amazing. Definitely one of my most anticipated releases.
