IGN has posted a preview of how the Rock Band Network will work.
For those not in the loop, this allows users to create their own songs for the game and sell them in Rock Band 2.It's a pretty comprehensive preview, so anyone interested can check it out here.

There's also a new video of Kurt Cobain in Guitar Hero 5 out. And it does confirm that he'll be appearing on both Smells Like Teen Spirit and Lithium.
