It has been revealed that in addition to the new add on pack released in November, Spore will also be releasing its first official expansion in Spring 2009.
But until then on November 18 the first add on pack will be available, titled Creepy and Cute Parts. This pack will feature over 100 new creature building parts. This pack has also be claimed to work on both Spore and Spore Creature Creator, which was released before the full version.
The aforementioned full expansion is being referred to by EA as the Space Stage expansion, and is set to have nifty new gadgets like teleportation to make it easier to beam down onto new planets from space. But more importantly its set to have an adventure creator, which will allow you to create your own missions and tasks then upload them to the world wide Spore community for everyone to play.
The news of these expansions was no surprise to the gaming community, mainly due to the fact it is created by MAXIS and EA, who are notorious for creating numerous expansions for The Sims titles.
This has been met by a lot of criticism by the gaming community as another way of milking gamers money. But even though fans are a bit angry at the fact that they will have to keep forking out money, most fans of the series are happy that the game will keep evolving and keep them coming back for more.
